hTc Z - 3g Phone Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0

HTC announced "hTc Z", the first Japanese tri-band 3G phone powered by Windows Mobile 5.0.

Having a sleek and stylish form factor, the handset offers a wide range of connectivity options including: tri-band UMTS 3G, which will allow users to roam across Japan, Europe, US, and Asia, plus GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a mini-USB
port; making data transfer simple.

Designed with easy messaging in mind, the hTc Z features: Direct Push email technology available with Windows Mobile 5.0; Internet browsing; synchronization with Microsoft Outlook Calendar, Contacts, and Email; the ability to work on applications in the Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to view PDF documents.

The hTc Z comes equipped with a slide-out, ergonomic QWERTY keyboard and 2.8" color display with touch-screen. It also features a jog wheel for easy, one-hand operation. For the multimedia part, the hTc Z allows users to play back music, recorded TV or movies while on the go. It also features a 2 Megapixel camera with macro mode, on-screen controls and DSC (Digital Still Camera) functionality, plus a second camera for video telephony. All these are available within a compact body, weighing 180 grams.
