While work on the major GTK+ 4 series advances at a slow pace, the GTK+ 3.22 stable branch is still being updated, and today we see the launch of yet another bugfix release, the thirteenth in the series.

GTK+ 3.22.13 is a maintenance release that adds a month's worth of fixes and updated translations from various contributors. The bug fixes are typically small but significant and include a memory leak fix for the Wayland display server when exporting handle, a memory leak fix for linkbutton, and a quartz backend segfault fix, which was a regression from last month's point release, GTK+ 3.22.12.

Harmless clang warnings were patched for the Wayland display server, along with an increase of key delivery's verbosity. GTK+ 3.22.13 also makes it possible for the GtkVolumeButton widget to no longer be limited to 10 values, allows opening in window or new tab to work on unmounted filesystems, and adds an extra layer of padding between label and checkbox for the popover.

GtkPlacesView improvements, updated translations

The GtkPlacesView widget received some attention as well in the GTK+ 3.22.13 update, and the testsuite should now work as expected and GtkPlacesView can now monitor the network. Other than that, an entry-tag has been defined in the Adwaita GTK theme, GtkListBox's placeholder can now be removed, and a few other small issues were addressed for better reliability and stability of the GUI toolkit.

A bunch of language translations have been updated in GTK+ 3.22.13, including for Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Swedish, Indonesian, German, Russian, Hungarian, Slovak, Latvian, and Polish. The full release notes are attached below if you're curious to know what exactly was changed, and you can download the GTK+ 3.22.13 source tarball right now from our website and update your installations.
