The GTK+ 3.20 GUI (Graphical User Interface) toolkit has just received today, April 12, 2016, its third maintenance build, with one day ahead of the planned GNOME 3.20.1 desktop environment release.

During the last couple of days, we've noticed a lot of activity on the main GNOME channels, as the development team is updating most of the core components and applications in preparation for the first of two point releases of the GNOME 3.20 desktop environment.

The open-source and cross-platform GTK+ 3.20 GUI toolkit has also been updated, and it is now at version 3.20.3, the third maintenance release in the stable 3.20 series of the project, which, according to the internal changelog attached at the end of the article for reference, fixes a total of twelve bugs reported by users.

Among these bug fixes, we can mention that the configuration dialog has been enlarged, the primary and secondary cursors and carets are now perceptible, the gtk3-demo utility now runs even without the HiColor icon theme, the "format not a string literal" errors were addressed, and a build failure was patched.

More bug fixes and translation updates

Moreover, it looks like some annotations were missing from the gtk_scrollable_get_border widget, so they've been added in GTK+ 3.20.3, the display port details and documentation for the Broadway backend were fixed, and a segfault that occurred when attempting to initialize WINTAB pressure-sensitive tablets was fixed.

Last but not least, the Bulgarian, Esperanto, Greek, and Persian language translations have been updated. You can download the GTK+ 3.20 sources right now via our website, but it is recommended that you update the GTK+ package of your GNU/Linux operating system through the official software repositories.
