The development team at Rockstar has just introduced the Freemode experience for the Online mode of Grand Theft Auto V on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and now the company is delivering a massive promotion that's designed to make the newly added content interesting to fans of the title.

Gamers can get a cash bonus and a Vapid T-shirt for their avatar if they manage to complete five of the events or challenges that have been included until Sunday, with the rewards coming before September 25.

Logging into the video game for all the days of the weekend will also give gamers access to Vinewood Zombie, I Married My Dad, and Die Already shirts.

A range of vehicles have been discounted by a solid 50 percent in GTA V Online in order to make sure that gamers have the wheels they need to complete the toughest missions.

Rockstar is also introducing a half-off offer for weapons, including the micro submachine gun, the carbine, the minigun and the heavy sniper, and gamers can also get some protection in the form of armor, bulletproof tires, and helmets for their character.

The studio adds, "all Pegasus and Merryweather Phone Services are discounted by 50% this weekend, along with Lester's Remove Wanted Level service to guarantee you're never hindered in taking part in the next Freemode Event."

GTA V offers more rewards on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360

Gamers who play on the older devices will experience an increased frequency for armored trucks, high priority vehicles, armored trucks and more, with the development team adding items and other rewards for them when they complete missions.

A special sweepstakes event linked to Freemode is also available via the official Rockstar Social Club page for all gamers.

The Online experience in open-world title has become so popular that the developers are spending a lot of time making sure that gamers have new content to explore and ways to create their own missions that can then be shared with the rest of the community.

Rockstar has said that it wants to offer more tweaks to the core mechanics and more development options in the coming updates.
