After revealing the next big update for Grand Theft Auto 5 across PC, PS4, and Xbox One last week, Rockstar Games has actually released the Freemode Events patch 1.29. A huge changelog also confirms an array of other modifications made to the popular open-world experience.

Grand Theft Auto 5 made its first debut on the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles back in September of 2013, and then rolled out onto the PS4 and Xbox One devices in November of last year. After finally releasing it on the PC earlier this year, Rockstar Games has launched many other updates for the GTA Online multiplayer mode.

Freemode Events update is now live only on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Now, as it's celebrating two years since the last-gen console debut, Rockstar is officially stopping the support of the multiplayer mode on PS3 and Xbox 360. The newest update, called Freemode Events, is available for download only on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The major patch 1.29 brings randomized events straight into the freemode of the GTA Online multiplayer, and according to Rockstar, the last-gen consoles just aren't capable of supporting such features.

These modes take place randomly in the online mode and include variations like Hunt the Beast, King of the Castle, Hot Property, Moving Target, Checkpoint Challenge, Kill Lists, Dead Drop, or Penned In. Each variation comes with wacky rules and players can customize just what events start in their freemode world.

If you complete any 5 of the new events until September 20, you'll also receive a bonus GTA$50,000 plus an exclusive Vapid T-shirt. More bonuses and rewards are going to be confirmed later in the week, as a special community weekend will celebrate the major update.

Two new Adversary modes are also included, in the form of Cross the Line and Hunting Pack, each bringing some intense new experiences to the multiplayer mode.

As you can see in the changelog below, via the official website, the patch also brings the Rockstar Editor to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA 5, not to mention a few fresh features that are also included in the PC edition.
