Google is planning on releasing two Nexus smartphones this year, but it seems that these aren’t the only devices the company might launch. The Mountain View-based giant is reportedly also working on two smartwatches that would run Android Wear and incorporate Google Assistant.

Information has surfaced regarding the fact that Google might launch two Android Wear smartwatches with Google Assistant incorporated. Android Police reports that one smartwatch will be larger, sportier, and with more features than the other, including LTE, GPS, and a heart rate sensor. The other smartwatch will be smaller and with fewer features.

The post also mentions that both Google smartwatches will have a full circular display, and the larger one will resemble Moto 360 in some respects. This specific device bears the Angelfish codename, and its design will have visible lugs, a smooth shape, and three buttons.

It will have a large circular crown button along the right side of the body and two smaller buttons above and below. The smartwatch will be quite thick, 14mm and 43.5mm in diameter. It will come in a matte dark gray finish, but Google might provide additional colors as well.

The two smartwatches feature the codenames Angelfish and Swordfish

The second smartwatch is dubbed Swordfish, and the post reveals that it will have a design similar to the Pebble Time Round. It will sport a single button centered on the right-hand side of the body.

The smartwatch will have a 42mm body diameter and a thickness of 10.6mm. The smartwatch will be available in multiple colors, including silver, titanium, and rose gold. It won’t have LTE or GPS, but it could come with a heart rate monitor.

This move doesn’t seem quite out of the ordinary since Google announced standalone Android Wear apps at Google I/O with Wear 2.0, and the company has made some important updates to Google Fit as well.
