Google’s Pixel Product Lead Krishna Kumar recently made a post on the Pixel User Community page, urging Pixel and Pixel XL owners to share their thoughts on the Pixel smartphones. Google’s official wants to know what owners like and dislike about the Pixel smartphones in regard to their design.

The Pixel and Pixel XL are the first smartphones designed entirely by Google. When it came to Nexus devices, Google collaborated with other makers like LG and Huawei. Pixel devices are assembled by HTC, but when it comes to their design, the concept is entirely Google’s.

Google had to make some compromises when it came to Pixel smartphones. The devices have a wedge-like shape with a thicker top than bottom, which allowed the company to fit a larger battery and make sure that there’s no camera bump on the back.

Google will take user feedback into consideration

Google will most likely take user options into consideration when designing the new Pixel phone. Comments on the post were relatively positive, but some did complain about the lack of waterproofing features. Others said they were displeased that the phones didn’t have front-facing speakers.

However, most users seem to appreciate the fact that the smartphones have thin bezels and the overall design is pleasing to many users. Many Pixel owners say they are pleased with the camera quality and battery life on their phones, while others would like to buy the Pixel phones in more color options. Some users even suggested LED notifications and a more unique design, as they say that the Pixel resembles iPhones a bit. Others would like the phones to come with an SD card slot.

Many users complained about the limited availability of Pixel phones and recent reports have indicated that some customers had to wait up to a month to get their hands on the phone. Carriers like Verizon even offered free Daydream VR headsets to apologize for delayed shipments.
