14 DAY TRIAL // Google on Monday announced that it started rolling out the new video sharing feature of the YouTube app for iOS and Android mobile operating systems globally, around the world.
YouTube's cool new Shared tab was previously made available earlier this year only to users in Canada, and shortly expanded to the rest of North America, but it's now available to all users who have the YouTube for iOS and YouTube for Android apps installed on their mobile devices.
"We’ve been experimenting with a better way to share videos on YouTube since last year. Thanks to all your feedback, we made some improvements and are now ready to roll out this new sharing feature to all users globally," said Benoît de Boursetty, Product Manager, YouTube.
You can finally share videos with your friends directly on YouTube
The new video sharing feature lets you share videos with your family and friends directly on YouTube, but it looks like you'll also be able to receive videos from others, as well as to chat about them, reply with another video, or invite other people to join the conversation.
Google believes that the new Shared tab of the latest YouTube app, which should soon be available for all iOS and Android users around the world, will make video sharing faster, easier, and, of course, a lot more fun on your mobile device, be it either a smartphone, phablet, or tablet.
You'll also be able to continue sharing videos through other apps on your mobile device if you want, yet the YouTube app now lets you create groups and share your favorite videos with your friends, live, straight from the brand new Shared tab on the YouTube app.
