Google is constantly working on providing its users with new and exciting app improvements, and one such example is Google Arts & Culture, available on Android and iOS. The app is aimed at offering the tools to explore art and culture from museums in multiple countries.

Google Arts & Culture app allows users to search for artifacts and artworks from more than a thousand museums from across 70 countries. It's only to be expected that Google will add more museums and locations in this app in the next period of time.

Users can search for anything, including shoes, jewelry, paintings, sculptures, and any other type of artwork that they would have access to only if they searched for it online or actually visited the museum that showcases them.

Google Arts & Culture comes with Art Recognizer feature

The app boasts the option to scroll through artworks by time, and for instance, explore a painter's evolution through their art. It also allows users to browse by color or learn about an artist's influences and muses. What's more, it also comes with one new story per day, exploring the world of art and culture.

Google Arts & Culture now supports Google Cardboard for taking virtual tours of the street art scene in multiple current or even ancient cities, like Athens or Rome. Google has also launched an Arts & Culture YouTube channel where users can some explore content that's featured in the app as well.

In addition, the application displays the opening hours for various museums around the world, and it shows users special events hosted on certain days.

It also includes a feature called Arts Recognizer, which allows users to point their smartphones to a painting, which will trigger the app to automatically display information about the painter and the artwork. Google Arts & Culture is available on Android and iOS.

Just recently, Google has also released Motion Stills app, which allows users to create stable GIFs out of live photos.
