As Google's unveiling date for the Pixel and Pixel XL approaches, more and more leaks on the two upcoming smartphones seem to surface. It appears that Google has decided to rename the launcher on the two phones as Pixel Launcher, and a render of the Pixel XL leaked a few days ago.

The latest leak regards the Pixel XL, which has just surfaced in a live but very blurry photo. The image was posted online by @usbfl and spotted by Android Headlines. It shows the display of the Pixel XL, which will be the larger smartphone out of the two upcoming devices.

The leaked photo does reveal a rather interesting detail, a new design for the home, back and multitasking buttons on Pixel smartphones. A few weeks ago, a rumor surfaced showing redesigned navigation buttons on upcoming Nexus smartphones, now rebranded as Pixel.

The new image doesn't offer a clear view, but the upcoming phones could feature new designs for the buttons.

Pixel XL will come with a display of 5.5 inches

Previously leaked images of the two smartphones showed the G logo on the back panel. The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, developed together with HTC, will have a similar design, while the size of the devices will definitely differ. Pixel will come with a smaller display of 5.2-5.3 inches and Full HD resolution.

It could also run Snapdragon 821 SoC, just like the Pixel XL, making these two devices the first in the US to come with the latest processor from Qualcomm. In addition, the smartphone could have 4GB of RAM and a 12MP rear camera with an 8MP selfie snapper in the front. Moreover, it could come with 32GB of internal storage and a 2,770mAh battery.

Specs for the Pixel XL are somewhat similar, with the exception of a larger battery and a display of 5.5 inches with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The smartphones might come with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and will be announced on October 4.
