It's not unusual for developers to open up beta programs to everyone wanting to participate, so it's no surprise that Google has decided to do the same thing for two of its very popular apps: Gboard and Google Play Services.

If you're one of the tech-savvies who like to get their hands dirty while testing software, then you'll be pleased to know that Google now allows anyone to sign up for Gboard and Google Play Services betas in the Play store.

Once accepted in the beta program, you'll be provided access to new builds that bring new features and improvements before they are made available to the public. Obviously, in return, you'll have to provide feedback on these beta builds so that Google can squash any bugs found.

You've probably already head about Gboard, or you're even using it on a regular basis, so you know that Google often updates its keyboard application.

If you absolutely must be among the first to try out all the new features the developers add to the Gboard app, then signing up for the beta program will allow you to do just that.

On the other hand, Google Play Services is a very important part of the Android ecosystem, as it includes updates to Google's suite of apps, including Google Assistant. Basically, this means that you'll have access to beta builds that bring new features to many of Google's apps available on the Android operating system.

Keep in mind, though, that you'll always be running a beta version of these apps, so make sure you know what you're doing before registering for the beta program.

It's also worth noting that you can always drop out of the program by returning to the testing page and choosing to leave the beta. That's it folks, happy testing.
