Google has just revealed that Google Assistant is available on the iPhone starting today, with all the features and tools that have been available on Android. Google has also revealed that Assistant is now available on more than 100 million devices.

As rumored before, Google Assistant is now available on iPhones and in order to access the virtual AI from Google, iPhone users simply need to open up the Google App and press the voice button to speak with the Assistant.

Google Assistant is currently available on more than 100 million devices, including Android smartphones, Android Auto, Android TV and Android Home. Google Assistant on iPhones will have the same features that we’ve seen on Android.

Google Assistant will receive support for more languages

In addition, Google has announced that Assistant will receive support for French, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese languages in the coming weeks, and support for Italian, Spanish and Korean should arrive by the end of the year. The languages will be made available for Google Assistant on both Android and iOS.

Moreover, the Mountain View search giant states that Assistant can be coupled with Google Lens and allow users to search for various objects using the smartphone’s camera. The company will use visual context to understand what the user is pointing at and provide suggestions or actions, while also carrying a conversation. Assistant will automatically set calendar entries or suggest various actions based on the environment.

Google recently released the Google Assistant SDK and third-party actions will soon be made available on the smartphone. Users will be able to place orders, make payments, get notifications and even create accounts with third-party businesses.

The tech giant's virtual AI assistant will also receive a much-needed feature that allows users to ask questions by typing. In noisy or crowded environments, users may be reluctant to launching voice commands to Google Assistant, and now they have the ability to type in their requests.
