Google has just announced that Keep app received integration with Google Docs and is now part of the G Suite group of applications that boost productivity at the workplace or at home. Keep is a Google app that helps users capture their thoughts anytime, anywhere.

Google stated that Keep has just received integration with Google Docs, which makes it easier for users to take their ideas and notes from Keep and add them to documents in Google Docs. The integration is available across Keep versions for Android, iOS, Chrome and the web.

On the web, users can access the Docs platform and head over to the Tools menu in order to view Keep notes and display them in a side panel within Docs.

Keep and Docs integration brings lots of advantages

Users can now drag notes from Keep directly in their documents, search for Keep notes while in Docs or add a new note and select text from outside documents. When they open notes in Keep, a link back to the source document will be provided. Users will be able to grab even pictures and checklists from their Keep notes to Docs files.

Moreover, Google has added additional admin controls over Keep usage in organizations, allowing administrators to turn the app on or off for their domains. The rollout of new features has already started and should end in a few days.

With the new move, Google intends to make it easier for users to grab and work with their notes, thus offering a wide expansion of the service and making it easy for Keep users to integrate their notes in documents.

Google has been focusing on delivering a more complex experience to business users, especially since the company quietly launched a web page for Meet by Google Hangouts, a new platform for business users to place HD video calls. Google has yet to officially announce the new app, as its G Suite product page isn’t available yet.
