The new features will be added in the coming weeks

Google's Calendar application has just received a handful of new features and improvements on both Android and iOS platforms. The new changes are mostly aimed at runners and those who set themselves fitness goals.

The most important new addition to the Calendar app is called “Goals” and is meant to help users “find time for the things that matter.” Let's say you set a goal like “run 3 times a week,” then Calendar should help you find the time to fulfill your new goal.

According to Google, “Goals in Google Calendar makes finding time for activities like hitting the gym or going on more runs easy. But it hasn’t been as easy to track whether you’re reaching that goal - even if you’re using fitness tracking apps in parallel - since you still have to manually mark your goal ‘done’ every time.”

But there's more, as Google announced that, starting this week, those who use Calendar will be able to connect Google Fit and Apple Health to their fitness goals in the application.

They will be synced, so every time you complete a goal in your favorite fitness app, it will be automatically marked as “done” in the Calendar.

Another addition to the Calendar application is the new visual performance tracker, which will allow users to see how they're doing in real time.

With the latest new features, Calendar can help users track their activities and performance, as well as find the best time to do them. The application can adjust accordingly every time you miss a goal that you've previously set within Calendar.

So, no matter how well you're going to follow your future goals, Calendar will always adjust the parameters and help you find the time to fulfill them without you having to reschedule anything.

The new changes included in Google Calendar will be rolled out over the next couple of weeks in both App Store and Google Play store.
