Built-in Google Assistant and smart home devices support

The Google Home Hub smart display with a $149 price tag was launched during the Made by Google event, together with the company's new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL smartphone flagships and the new Pixel Slate Chrome OS tablet.

Google's new smart display is a 480 grams (1 oz) device which comes in four different colors (sand, aqua, chalk, and charcoal) featuring 802.11b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5Ghz) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

The Google Home Hub comes with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, a full range speaker capable of 80 dB SPL @ 1KHz, @ 1m, together with a two-microphone array.

Google Home Hub also enables you to control thousands of smart home devices using your voice, as it comes with support for lights, cameras, TVs, and a lot more types of devices.

Google also added Google Assistant support to the Google Home Hub smart display, making it possible for its users to ask for answers to anything from sports and stock news to recipes and the current weather.

With the help of the Google Home Hub's Voice Match feature will make sure that you will get personalized reminders, events and commute information right before going out of your home.

The Home Hub will also display your upcoming commute info and activities on its home screen, together with recommended videos from your YouTube account.

Using the Google Home Hub smart display, you can also turn off the lights and set the alarm by saying "Hey Google, good night," as well as have the room lighting automatically dim with the help of the smart speaker's Ambient EQ feature.

Google Home Hub's voice control capabilities are boosted by the two far-field microphones capable of detecting voice commands from across any room in your house, making it possible to use Google's smart display while being busy with other tasks.

Last but not least, the Google Home Hub comes with a touchscreen display which allows you to control all its features with simple touch, tap, and swipe gestures.

Google Home Hub has a price tag of $149 and is available for pre-order starting today from the Google Store, with an official release date of October 22 at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and other retailers.
