14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung and Rocketship announced last week that the latter's Adblock Fast application for Android devices would be available for compatible smartphones launched by the South Korean company over the next couple of weeks.
Ad Block Fast fully supports Samsung's Internet browser, but only from version 4.0 and up. One of the few apps that allow Android users to block ads without having to root their devices or switch to another browser.
Although Samsung announced the partnership with Rocketship with make Adblock Fast compatible with Internet browser 4.0 and up, Google has removed the application from the Play store soon after the official announcement.
In a short message to developers, a Google official said he “reviewed Adblock Fast, com.rocketshipapps.adblockfast, and found that it violates section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement. This particular app has been disabled as a policy strike.”
The good news is that after just one week the application has been reinstated and is now available for download via Google Play Store once again.
AdBlock Fast has been updated to support Android 4.0 or newer
According to Rocketship, they have submitted an appeal soon after their application has been rejected by Google, and it looks like the search giant has accepted it.
“We’ve accepted your appeal and your app has been reinstated. For the app to appear on the Play Store, you’ll need to sign into your Developer Console and submit your app again,” said a Google representative.
Aside from being available in Google Play Store, Adblock Fast has been updated with support for Android 4.0 and up, so those users who did not have a smartphone with Samsung Internet 4.0 could benefit from the app's features.
If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Adblock Fast for Android for free via Google Play Store. It should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
