A few days ago, we reported that more than 1 million people registered for the Nokia 6 flash sale, although that wasn’t a confirmation that so many units would be sold. The registration process merely revealed that consumers were interested in the new device.

Over 100,000 thousand people pre-ordered the device before the flash sale and the $9 registration fee would be deducted from the phone’s final price. Well, the flash sale came and went in under a minute.

Apparently, people took to JD.com in China and purchased the highly anticipated device, which was out of stock in under 60 seconds, according to Anzhuo. Blink and you’d miss the opportunity of buying it. JD.com retailer didn’t actually disclose how many units were sold and another flash sale is expected to take place soon. Hopefully, Nokia has enough units to meet such high demand.

4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery

With its $245 retail price, Nokia 6 is certainly an appealing phone, not to mention that it comes with a 3,000mAh battery and 4GB of RAM. In addition, Nokia 6 has a fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for dual-SIM. Internal memory reaches 64GB with the option to expand to 256GB using a microSD card.

Its 16MP rear camera has dual-LED flash and PDAF features, while the front snapper has a capacity of 8MP. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and an octa-1.4GHz Snapdragon chipset, coupled with Adreno 505 graphics processing units. Its display is 5.5 inches with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

Sure, the Nokia 6 is an exciting phone, but even more exciting will be the unconfirmed Nokia P1 flagship. Rumors from the past few days say the phone might run Qualcomm’s latest processor, Snapdragon 835, and sport a design similar to Sharp’s Aquos Xx3. It could have a 53-inch IGZO display, 6GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Rear camera capacity could reach 24MP and the price might start at $800. However, such a rumored price tag only increases the appeal of the Nokia 6.
