The GnuCash development team announced the other day yet another maintenance update for their free, open-source, and cross-platform accounting software, GnuCash 2.6.14.

GnuCash 2.6.14 comes two and a half months after the release of the previous version, namely GnuCash 2.6.13, to fix more bugs reported by users lately, all in order to keep the financial management applications stable and reliable at all times. As you might know, GnuCash runs on all major platforms, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS, and Microsoft Windows, so the 2.6.14 update fixes bugs to improve support on all these OSes.

According to the devs, there are a total of 15 recorded issues that have been addressed in GnuCash 2.6.14, related to various parts of the software, among which we can mention the SQL database for storing the data, the Investment Lots feature, the "Reverse Order" option in the View -> Sort menu, the "zero interest loan formula," as well as the OFX import functionality.

CMake improvements land for Gentoo Linux

GnuCash also includes various bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements that make it the most advanced version ever. For example, there are some CMake improvements for the Gentoo Linux operating system related to the Guile 2.0.12 package, better timezone support, and some SX fixes (see quote below for details). The Spanish, Dutch, German, and Serbian translations have been updated as well.

"SX Window: correctly show first sx on calendar when it is moved to next weekday. Indicate in the register when a transaction has an associated file or URI. The indicator will appear in the 'reconciled' column in the second transaction line (enable double-line view to see it)," reads the release notes.
