We've just published an article about Evince 3.20, the upcoming document viewer app for the GNOME 3.20 desktop environment, due for release on March 23, 2016, and we're now informing you about the promotion of the GNOME Boxes 3.20 virtual machine manager software to the Release Candidate (RC) state.

GNOME Boxes 3.20 RC (technical version number is 3.19.92) has just been released today, March 16, 2016, as part of the soon-to-be-announced GNOME 3.20 Release Candidate desktop environment. As usual, we've managed to get our hands on the internal changelog to tell you all about the new release.

There are mostly bug fixes and performance improvements in the Release Candidate build of GNOME Boxes 3.20, and among the most important ones, we can mention two crashes related to the VNC (Virtual Network Computing) support, a session libvirt-related issue that made the software quit when the connection to the default broker failed.

Moreover, the box configuration removal should now work correctly when the connection to the broker fails, the resource graph drawing code has been updated to the latest GTK+ GUI toolkit, and a typo has been fixed in the title of a keyboard shortcut. Moreover, there's a patch for a regression with the configuration data, which was saved in the ~.cache directory instead of the ~/.config one.

Last but not least, the Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Serbian, Serbian Latin, Kazakh, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Swedish, Lithuanian, Greek, Slovenian, Portuguese, and French language translations have been updated. More details should be available in the attached changelog, at the end of the article.

The Release Candidate build of the upcoming GNOME Boxes 3.20 software also contains a few internal changes, and it can be downloaded right now from our website. When testing it, please try to keep in mind that it's a pre-release version, which means that it might contain bugs.
