14 DAY TRIAL // Kelly Osbourne hates Giuliana Rancic and she’s not shying away from saying so publicly. She also considers her a “liar” and ultimately not “a good person,” and she even blames her for the criticism she drew onto herself with her Donald Trump Latino comments.
That Kelly and Giuliana weren’t the best of friends became clear during the Zendaya Coleman scandal, when Giuliana was attacked for making what was perceived as a racist joke in her commentary about Zendaya’s Oscar hair. Shortly afterwards, as if in protest over it, Kelly left E!’s Fashion Police.
Kelly would come back, but only if Rancic left
Over the weekend, Kelly hosted the 4th annual NYX Face Awards and the question of whether she’d love to return to Fashion Police obviously came up. She would gladly go back to her seat, she told Us Weekly, but only if Rancic was fired.
“I will never admit to liking Giuliana because I don’t. I don’t think she’s a good person and I think she’s a liar,” she said.
She even blamed Rancic for the way she was criticized earlier this month, when her guest appearance on The View turned into a disaster because she said America needed Latinos to “clean our toilets.” She was actually commenting on Donald Trump’s plans to rid the country of illegal immigrants if he becomes President in the 2016 elections.
In Kelly’s opinion, the world was quick to judge her on that snippet without even watching the full episode (which would have absolved her of guilt, by the way) because of Rancic’s mistake with the Zendaya comment.
This doesn’t make much sense, since Giuliana’s “joke” was actually edited by E! producers to come out as offensive as it did, while Kelly was live, but she seems convinced that her life would have been better if she’d never crossed paths with Giuliana.
Giuliana isn’t leaving Fashion Police yet
If you were hoping to see Kelly back on Fashion Police, it’s not happening just yet, because Giuliana isn’t going anywhere. She recently left the E! News team but has said that she will continue on the more popular Fashion Police, where she will be joined by Melissa Rivers, the daughter of the late Joan Rivers.
Kathy Griffin, who was brought in as a replacement for Joan after her death last year, also left, a short while after Kelly.
She too claimed to have been very unhappy about the collaboration, even trashing the show for not being anything more than bullying under the pretense of delivering a smart mix of fashion commentary and comedy.
