Gionee Elife E8 was launched on the market back in June, but for the time being, it's only available for purchase in China.

However, beginning this week, customers in India will be able to get Gionee's flagship smartphone as well. According to a new report, the Elife E8 will be launched on India on October 8.

While there's no mention of the price tag yet, it's worth saying that Gionee Elife E8 costs around Rs 41,000 in China, which is about $630 or €560.

If the final price announced by Gionee is similar to the Chinese one, it will be the most expensive smartphone launched by the company in India. Coming with a high price attached to it, the Elife E8 packs top-tier features.

For example, the smartphone boasts a large 6-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

A fingerprint sensor is included, too

On the inside, Gionee's flagship handset is equipped with a powerful 64-bit 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor, a PowerVR G6200 graphics processing unit, and 3GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone comes with 64GB of internal memory inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Keep in mind though that the Elife E8 offers dual-SIM support, but one of the slots can be used to insert microSD memory cards.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 24-megapixel photo snapper with phase detection autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and 4K video recording, while on the front, there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Gionee Elife E8 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, along with Amigo 3.1 UI on top of it. Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a large 3,500 mAh battery.
