Microsoft surprised a lot of gamers when it announced that it was planning to deliver a PC version of Quantum Break, and it seems that the company might have more such revelations prepared, with a lot of big coming titles for the Xbox One apparently also set to arrive for Windows 10 machines.

According to WPDang, which has a good track record when it comes to rumors linked to the software giant, there are plans to create a PC version for Forza Motorsport 6, which is one of the most successful racing titles launched on the home console, although no details about the new features that might be coming is mentioned.

It also quotes unnamed sources who claim that a new title in the Horizon spin-off series will be announced soon and that it will too be offered on both platforms at the same time and that Gears of War 4, one of the biggest Xbox One title of this year, will get its own launch in the Windows 10 Store.

Presumably, Microsoft is aiming to make the announcements a few months apart to give fans of both its new operating system and home console a chance to pick up each of the coming experiences.

The fact that Gears of War 4, Forza Motorsport 6 and a possible Horizon 3 are headed to the PC represents a major shift in the way the company deals with its gaming division and shows that the integration between its two platforms is more than simple marketing talk.

The Xbox One is relying on bundles to increase sales this year

Quantum Break is coming to both platforms on April 5, and those who place a pre-order on the Xbox One will get a free version for Windows 10, which is a great deal for those who want to compare the experience on both devices.

In 2016 gamers who prefer to do their gaming on the PC will be able to also get access to the Ultimate version of Gears of War, which features the main installments in the series, as well as Halo Wars 2, created by The Creative Assembly, Killer Instinct and ReCore.

Microsoft might be changing its strategy because the Xbox One has failed to improve its performance regarding sales when compared to the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

According to estimates from third parties the device is has moved less than 20 million units to gamers since it was introduced, which is much better than the older Xbox 360 has managed at the same point in its own lifetime but lower than the rival.

In order to boost performance, Microsoft might be trying to make sure that it integrates the Xbox One with Windows 10 machines and gives gamers more options for the big titles, making it easy for them to decide which of the devices they want to game on.

The company is also delivering more bundles and special offers linked to various occasions to get gamers who do not have a new home console to pick up its device.
