ThinkGOS has proudly announced the immediate availability of the final version of gOS Gadgets' third release. The OS is built in such a way that you can easily have access to over 100,000 iGoogle and Google gadgets, all with the help of a pre-installed version of the popular Google Gadgets application. Based on the newly released Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS, and especially designed for NetTops and NetBooks, the gOS Gadgets operating system is the best edition of a Linux distribution to have debuted at Wal-Mart stores less than one year ago.

gOS 3.0 features some interesting tools, which will aid users in their daily routines and special tasks alike.

Wine - is basically a tool for running Windows applications under the Linux environment; very popular applications such as Photoshop or IE, and also all kinds of games can be run with the use of this MS Windows "compatibility layer for Linux," as the developers would prefer users to regard it.

Google Gadgets - you are provided with the vast gadgets collection, but you can also install 3rd party Widgets, or even develop your own, if you have the skills and time.

Mozilla Prism - a new tool that "extracts" web applications from the browser and runs them on the local gOS powered machine.

Firefox 3.0 - the hugely successful web browser is more secure, faster and very customizable to meet the demands of your online life.

Skype - another very popular, powerful toolkit, used for worldwide communication. You can connect to anyone, anywhere, by making a cost-free Skype-to-Skype call any time you want.

The minimum requirements for gOS Gadgets are:

· 700 MHz x86 processor;
· 384 MB of system memory (RAM);
· 8 GB of disk space;
· Graphics card capable of 1024 x 768 resolution;
· Sound card;
· A network or Internet connection.

You can download and test gOS Gadgets 3.0 right now from Softpedia.
