PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita players get stuff

Sony announced the free games for PlayStation players, for the month of February. It's not a terribly exciting lineup, but February is not a terribly exciting month, so it evens out.

PlayStation players who pay for the PS Plus subscription get a number of free games each month, although calling them free is not exactly correct since the subscription costs money. In any case, some of these games are pretty interesting, but most of the time there are others less well-known titles.

This is not a really bountiful season for console users and companies know this all too well. That's why the offering is not really up to par and Sony is not trying to show that they can do better than its competition. That's why the most attractive titles on the list are Nom Nom Galaxy and Helldivers.

Free PlayStation Games for February

"In Nom Nom Galaxy, you’ll enjoy a variety of gameplay; platforming, mining, base construction, resource management, tower defense, and of course, making soup. As a new Astroworker for SoupCo, you’ll be producing different soups to keep the aliens fulfilled and fighting greedy competitors. Protect your factory and become the most powerful soup company in the galaxy," reads the announcement made by Sony.

Helldivers is a cooperating twin-stick shooter that made quite an impression and is now available, for free, to the PS Plus subscribers. Here are all the games that have been made available in February:

Grid Autosport - PS3 Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita Lemmings Touch - PS Vita Nom Nom Galaxy - PS4 Nova-111 - PS Vita Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – PS3

There is the usual caveat. If your subscription expires, you won't be able to access these games until the PS Plus subscription is renewed.
