14 DAY TRIAL // After waiting for almost nine whole months, PlayStation Plus subscribers can now download for free the Driveclub PS Plus edition for the PS4 platform. A list of all of its cars and tracks is also available, highlighting the different vehicles that are offered and the circuits they can be driven on.
Driveclub was initially set to appear right alongside the PS4 platform at its initial launch, in November of 2013. Unfortunately, developer Evolution Studios required extra time to ensure that its promised social racing experience can live up to the expectations of fans from all around the world.
As such, the game got delayed for a whopping 11 months, eventually launching in October of 2014. A free Driveclub PS Plus edition was also set to be released alongside it, offering the full list of features from the game, albeit with fewer cars and tracks available, but due to the now infamous multiplayer and server issues, this special version got delayed indefinitely.
Driveclub PS Plus Edition is finally available worldwide on PS4
Now, after around nine months of waiting, the Driveclub PS Plus Edition is available as a free download for PlayStation Plus members from all around the world on the PS4 console, via the PlayStation Store, as a 14.7GB download.
As promised, the title delivers all the features from the full experience, from online multiplayer to offline solo events, Tour races, customization, replays, Photo mode, and even the intense weather system that was added as a free update to the game post launch.
However, it only includes 15 cars and 13 tracks, which are highlighted below, via DualShockers. Bear in mind that the free DLC cars and tracks released for the final game don't work with the PS Plus edition of Driveclub. You can download them, but they'll be locked unless you upgrade to the full-fledged racing experience.
The good news is that Driveclub PS Plus edition users can still get the full set of 27 trophies.
