The stable version for foobar2000 1.2.1 has just been released. It does not bring to the table too many modifications compared to the preceding beta, but it does improve overall functionality and stability of the player.

The latest version adds the bug fix from the beta that eliminated the problem with menu commands that switched between playback output devices not working at all times.

However, new glitches have been uncovered and eliminated. One of them refers to incorrect decoding of malformed Vorbis files. Furthermore, the Archive Reader DLL would be made dependent on MSVCR100.DLL in version 1.2 of the application.

Also fixed is a regression bug that would lead to a crash because of some filesystem operations in monitored folders.

The current release comes with better compatibility with malformed AIFF file type.
