foobar2000 progressed to build 1.1.12 beta over the weekend, as two revisions have been launched. The developer announced that it is a maintenance release, so fixes prevail.

The first beta for version1.1.12 is the richest in changes, the purpose of the second one being to fix the regressions of its predecessor.

Repairs cover Musepack HTTP streaming bugs or incorrect MP3 decoder behavior on certain rare files. Issues with multi-channel encoding and decoding have also been addressed, regarding FLAC encoding and WavPack decoding; in both cases the channel mask is now preserved.

Among the modifications there is also the possibility to use HDCD & DTS decoder components with ALAC. Also, the MP3 tag reading behaviors has changed, multiple tags are present (ID3v2 content now takes priority over APE and then ID3v1).
