14 DAY TRIAL // In March this year, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson crashed Paris Fashion Week in character as Derek Zoolender and Hansel McDonald, thus confirming older rumors that they were working on a sequel to the fan-favorite “Zoolander,” which came out in 2001.
A sequel had been in the works since 2008, but it seems that it will have been worth the wait. Not only does it boast an impressive list of celebrity cameos, but the first teaser (available below) hints that it will be just as outrageous and funny as the original.
The teaser opens with a robotic voice that resembles Stephen Hawking’s, narrating the Big Bang down to the appearance of man, whose brain marks the pinnacle of evolution. That is, only if the man in question is not named Zoolander, because if he is, his first question will be, “If God is real, then why did he make ugly people?”
“Zoolander 2,” or as the titular character calls it, “2 hundred lander,” will also feature appearances from Justin Bieber, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Olivia Munn, Penelope Cruz, Billy Zane, and Lewis Hamilton.
It will be out on February 12, just in time to put a smile on your face - and the face of your loved one - for Valentine’s Day.
