14 DAY TRIAL // Apple started seeding the first maintenance release of the stable iOS 8.4 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices to users worldwide via the built-in software update utility.
While Apple emphasized Apple Music as the highlight of iOS 8.4.1, the new update brings with it fixes for some of the most important issues reported by users or discovered by researchers since iOS 8.4.
Looking at the complete changelog attached to the iOS 8.4.1 update (check out the screenshots below for details), we can notice that the problem with turning on the iCloud Music Library has been finally fixed. Also, the "Love" function works as expected while listening to Beats 1.
However, please note that the iCloud Music Library function is available, and it will be enabled only in some countries, so if you aren't able to turn it on, it's not because of some server issue from Apple or any other bug you might think of.
Furthermore, iOS 8.4.1 now offers a new way of adding songs to a newly created playlist if no playlists are available, and addresses a bug that caused newly added tracks to not be displayed because the Apple Music app showed only offline music.
Thanks to the first point release of iOS 8.4, you will no longer see different artwork for some albums on your Apple devices, and it is now possible to correctly display artist's posts to the Connect tab of the Apple Music app.
Here's how to update to iOS 8.4.1 on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch owners whose devices are powered by the iOS 8.4 software are urged to update to the iOS 8.4.1 release as soon as possible. To update, open the Settings app, go to General and tap on Software Update.
Wait a few seconds for the iOS 8.4.1 update to appear in the list of updates, tap on the "Download and Install" button, agree to the license agreement, and wait for the update to be downloaded and installed, which will automatically reboot your device.
