Marvel isn’t wasting any time in incorporating Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), now that their February 2015 deal with Sony means they got the rights back to the character. Young actor Tom Holland will step into the shoes previously worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and he will be introduced to fans in 2016.

That’s when “Captain America: Civil War” comes out, picking up the story from where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left it. It’s said that Spider-Man will only be making a small cameo, enough to introduce Holland to the MCU audience.

Attached to this blog post is a blurry and unconfirmed photo believed to be a screencap from the trailer for “Civil War.” We Got This Covered reports that the trailer will be shown at Disney’s D23 convention this week and that, on the way there, it somehow got leaked.

The poor quality of the photo and the fact that the man in it has his face covered with a mask means that it could easily be a fake.

At the same time, though, it would make sense for this new Spider-Man to wear a different suit from the one we’ve come to know in the 5 Spidey movies so far: Holland’s Peter Parker is the youngest so far, so he will go through a couple of costume changes before wearing the red and blue iconic one.

“If the Russo brothers adhere to the comics thread, it’s likely we’ll see Spider-Man don the Iron Spider Armor either during Civil War or for the 2017 standalone feature,” the trade e-zine says.

Still, do take this photo with a grain of salt. If it’s true that Spider-Man makes a cameo in “Civil War,” we’ll probably get confirmation of it when the first trailer drops.
