The Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro are two mid-range Android smartphones that should have been unveiled this year. Both are expected to be introduced in China, but there are no details as to whether or not Samsung will launch them in other countries as well.

We reported earlier this week that both the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro might have been delayed until January, 2017.

The reason is unknown, but following these rumors, there's a chance that these devices will be showcased at CES 2017, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, United States, in early January.

However, Samsung fans anxious to know more about the Galaxy C7 Pro won't have to wait on more month for the smartphone to go official (in case it hasn't been shelved).

The device has been recently spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which suggests that Samsung hasn't canceled the phone yet.

Along with the phone's list of specs, Samsung also published a couple of pictures of the Galaxy C7 Pro, so we can get an idea of what's to come next month.

Based on these photos, it appears that Samsung's mid-range smartphone features a metal body and a physical Home button in the front.

Nothing out of the ordinary design-wise

It doesn't stand out from other mid-range Android smartphones, so it will be hard to tell that it's the Galaxy C7 Pro. We also know quite a bit about the phone's specs sheet thanks to previous rumors and now the listing at TENAA.

So, Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card).

The phablet will sport a large 5.7-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It will also pack a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and 4K video recording, as well as decent 3,300 mAh battery.

The smartphone will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on board, and there's no telling if Samsung will upgrade this one to Android Nougat in the coming months.
