14 DAY TRIAL // Mozilla recently put up a dedicated website for its next-generation Firefox web browser, Firefox Quantum, which promises to be twice as fast than current versions and come with numerous performance improvements.
Firefox Quantum is, in fact, Firefox 57, the version launching after Firefox 56, which will be released in two days from the moment of writing, on September 28. Firefox 57 has just entered Beta stages of development, offering us a first proper look at its innovative new features and enhancements.
First and foremost, Firefox Quantum is powered by an all-new, cutting-edge engine that doubles the browsing speed compared to last year's release of Firefox. The engine is engineered in such way that it also promises to consume with up to 30% less system memory, compared to Google's Chrome web browser this time.

Sleek new look, better privacy, and more
The all-new powerful engine is not everything that Firefox Quantum has to show, as it also comes with a sleek new look that will offer us a bunch of built-in intuitive features. These include in-browser screenshots, the ability to search across multiple websites (tabs), and support for opening tabs and access bookmarks across all your devices.
Like with previous Firefox versions, you'll also be able to personalize Firefox Quantum with your favorite extensions that help you do you job better, and will come built-in with better, more powerful privacy features via Firefox Private Browsing, which loads web pages with up to 44% faster by blocking unwanted ads.
Among other cool new features that Firefox Quantum will introduce is support for Date/Time input, a universal library for storing everything you’ve saved in one place, support for managing website data, level 3 sandboxing protection on GNU/Linux platforms, as well as asynchronous scrolling.
Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57) will be available worldwide for all supported platforms on November 14, 2017, but you can get a head start and download the Beta right now for GNU/Linux, macOS, or Microsoft Windows operating systems. However, please try to keep in mind that the Beta is a pre-release version that might contain bugs, so don't use it for any production work.
