The team will not update the Platinum Demo

Since Final Fantasy XV was officially announced, fans have been asking Square Enix to offer more information about the video game and to answer a lot of questions about mechanics, performance and more, with some criticizing the company for the frame rate problems that were noticed in the free Platinum Demo on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Now Hajime Tabata, the director of the Japanese role-playing game, has told Dengeki Online, as translated by DualShockers, that his team is continuing work to optimize the video game and that he plans to make it run as smoothly as possible on September 30.

According to the game creator, the resolution used by the free Platinum Demo is dynamic, with an upper limit of 1080p, and the same will be true of the final version of Final Fantasy XV.

At the same time this slice of game, which is not linked to the narrative of the full release, is designed to show players what the coming experience has to offer and should not be taken as a sign of the performance that will be offered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 later in the year.

Tabata says that more demos for Final Fantasy XV will be shown at E3 2016 in June and maybe other events so that fans can see the progress made on the final form of the JRPG.

Final Fantasy XV might arrive on the PC

According to Tabata, the focus is on making the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 version of the game the best they can be in the remaining time, but a full exploration of what a port will require might take place soon after launch.

There are also no plans to upgrade the Platinum Demo in any way because the company has better ways to invest its resources.

Final Fantasy XV has been in development for about ten years and represents the first entry in the series that uses the power of the new generation of consoles and Square Enix want to use it to attract a new wave of fans.

This means that the story, which will focus on Noctis and a world that's relatively close to our own Earth if we ignore the use of magic, will be more accessible.

A new Active Cross Battle system will mean that gamers who engage with Final Fantasy XV will be in control at all times and will have more ways to deal with the challenges they face.
