FIFA 16 is getting closer to its launch date and the developers at EA Sports are ready to show the community the improvements that have been made when it comes to stadium simulation, using some of the new grounds that are set to be included in the football title.

The most important of the nine new additions is the Borussia-Park which houses leading German team Borussia Monchengladbach, and gamers will also be able to play on fully replicated pitches for the three teams that have been promoted to the Premier League this season, Carrow Road for Norwich City, Vitality Stadium for Bournemouth, and Vicarage Road for Watford.

Gamers can also take their teams to other important international grounds, including Stade Velodrome of Olympique de Marseille, the King Abdullah Sports City that houses both Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli, CenturyLink Field of the Seattle Sounders FC, and El Monumental for Club Atletico River Plate.

FIFA 16 will also contain a full simulation of Fratton Park, the home of Portsmouth FC, who are currently in the League Two in England.

EA Sports says that it has decided to add the ground as a tribute to Simon Humber, the creative director of the FIFA series.

The studio adds, "When playing FIFA 16, if you look towards the goalmouth you will notice a 'wreath of flowers' laid to honour Simon, just as the club and its supporters did in an incredible gesture earlier in May."

FIFA 16 wants gamers to play the beautiful game

Pele was the star of the game's presentation during E3 2015, explaining that the beautiful side of football is one of its main draws and gamers need to try to replicate the best moments created by real world players.

The new installment in the long-running series offered improved graphics and mechanics, with a focus on accessibility and depth.

So far, limited information has been offered on the tweaks that EA Sports is making to the Ultimate Team mode, although more details might be offered this week during Gamescom.

FIFA 16 will be launched on September 22 in the United States and two days later in Europe and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, as well as on older home consoles using Legacy versions that will miss some features.
