The development team at EA Sports has been offering a lot of details about FIFA 16, but there's no substitute for seeing the football simulation live, and to celebrate the launch of the game, the company is hosting a Celebrity Cup event, which is seeing real-world footballers and more engaging with the experience.

Gamers can watch the event live on YouTube, and the community is pretty active when it comes to providing commentary for the action, which is pretty solid even if some of those taking part are getting their hands on the new mechanics for the first time.

EA Sports has not offered a full lineup of those who are taking part in the Celebrity Cup for FIFA 16, but there are sixteen competitors who are now at the Gfinity Arena in London, ready to welcome the arrival of the title.

The development team has long worked to get the game into the hands of the footballers who are featured in it, and it's interesting to see how those who have real-world experience on the pitch approach the virtual experience.

For FIFA 15, the company offered a sequence of videos showing major teams, from Bayern Munchen to Liverpool, playing the sim, and it will be cool to see something similar being delivered in the coming months for the new installment.

FIFA 16 delivers evolutions, not revolutions

The new title is designed to tweak all the core mechanics in order to improve the overall feel of the game and to bring it closer to the way high-level football is played in the real world.

Teams in FIFA 16 can now defend as a unit, and there are more options for tackles for the bravest of defenders.

Midfielders have an enhanced way to deliver passes that can unlock defenses, and there are more options for attackers who want to deliver solid shots on goal.

A new no-touch dribbling option has also been added, inspired by the moves of cover star Lionel Messi.

Gamers in North America will be able to get access to FIFA 16 starting tomorrow on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and older home consoles, although with some limited features, and in Europe, fans will have to wait until September 24 to play.
