EA Sports has already announced that it was adding a new Draft experience to the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 16, but the company is also working to improve the classic Career experience, with a range of new features that will bring the simulation even closer to the real world.

For the first time, gamers will be able to take part in pre-season tournaments, with gamers able to choose from a total of nine that take place all over the world.

EA Sports states, "Just as with real football clubs, these matches will be a great opportunity to work on your team tactics and line-ups before the start of the regular season - use all your subs to test squad players. The prize purse from these tournaments gets allocated to your transfer budget for the upcoming season."

FIFA 16 will also include new training mechanics, with gamers able to choose five of their players each week in order to get them through drills that will improve specific attributes and will make them better on the pitch.

The team suggests that younger members of the squad will benefit the most, although the mechanic can also be used to improve those who are already fixtures in the first eleven.

FIFA 16 will also improve transfers and scouting

EA Sports is also improving the way scouting works in the sim, with gamers able to get info on one player for a longer period, and there are more options when it comes to loans.

For transfers, FIFA 16 is introducing more realistic funds for the biggest clubs and the values of the various superstars are tailored to be closer to the real world.

FIFA 16 will also aim for more immersion by improving the story elements, with commentators now designed to talk about player transfers, team performances, the way the superstars are playing and how the gamer-controlled team is performing.

When it comes to the mechanics of the game, EA Sports is adding more options for players when it comes to both defensive and offensive modes and is introducing no touch dribbling, inspired by cover star Lionel Messi.

FIFA 16 is arriving on September 22 in the United States and two days later in Europe and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with Legacy versions planned for older consoles.
