The development team at EA Sports is announcing that the voting process for the first edition of the Futties awards for FIFA 15 is now open and that there are ten categories that gamers can decide a winner for, all of them connected to the Ultimate Team game mode.

The official announcement explains that "Nominated players have no more than two special in-form items already (upgrades excluded) and are only eligible for one category each. It's down to you to decide who wins each category."

Voting for the FIFA 15 Futties will end at 12 Greenwich Mean Time on July 12 and those who want to express their opinion will have to register an account on the official forums.

All votes are final.

The Futties categories are: In for the Safe Hands, In for the Tackles, In for the Skills, In for the Longshots, In for the Headers, In for the Leadership, In for the Weak Foot, Out of position, Perfect Link and In for the Pace.

EA Spots plans to take all the winners and turn them into a new range of special pink items for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 15, which will have new stats and will give players more options for their teams.

At the moment a special version of Daniel Sturridge, chosen for his ability to deliver goals, can be obtained.

EA Sports has not talked about the future of Ultimate Team

FIFA 16 has received a lot of details from the developers during the E3 2015 event, including an impressive trailer featuring Pele, but no details are yet available about the way the Ultimate Team experience will evolve.

EA Sports has said that it wants to make sure that all gamers have more security for their data and that the playing field is more level, with more regular rewards for all those involved.

FIFA 16 will also introduce more options for defensive work, more ways to deliver killer passes from midfield and new ways for attackers to create space and to place shots.

The most recent video focuses on Lionel Messi and the way his no touch dribbling is represented in the football sim.

FIFA 16 will be out on September 24 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with Legacy editions delivered for older consoles.
