Fedora Project's Program Manager Jan Kurik today, April 28, 2016, announced the delay of the Beta release of the upcoming Fedora 24 Linux operating system by a week due to unresolved issues.

Well, folks, the unfortunate event has happened as Fedora Linux is known to get many delays during its development cycle. The upcoming release, Fedora 24, has already been delayed two times, so this is the third delay, and it also affects the final launch of the highly anticipated operating system.

As usual, the decision to delay the forthcoming Fedora 24 Beta release, which was supposed to be seeded to public beta testers on May 3, 2016, was taken during the Fedora 24 Beta Go/No-Go meeting that took place earlier today, April 28. Therefore, Fedora 24 Beta might be released on May 10, 2016.

"The decision of the Fedora 24 Beta Go/No-Go Meeting is NO-GO," said Jan Kurik in today's announcement. "Due to an invalid F24 Beta RC compose has been agreed on the Go/No-Go meeting to slip the Beta release for one week as well as to slip the Final GA of Fedora 24."

Fedora 24 Linux launches June 14, 2016

The release schedule of Fedora 24 Linux, which should now land on June 14, 2016, has not yet been modified, because the Fedora developers are planning another Go/No-Go meeting for the Beta build next Thursday, May 5. So, if more critical issues are present, they will be forced to delay the Fedora 24 Beta again.

Right now there's no confirmation about the exact dates of the launch of Fedora 24 Beta and Fedora 24 final, so we can only predict that they will arrive on May 10 and June 14, respectively. We will know for sure when the release schedule will be updated next week. In the meantime, you can enjoy the Fedora 24 supplemental wallpapers.
