14 DAY TRIAL // After being delayed a third time, the Fedora 24 Beta operating system has finally been approved for landing on May 10, during the Fedora 24 Beta Go/No-Go meeting that took place on May 5, 2016.
Fedora 24 Beta is the second and last milestone in the development cycle of the anticipated Fedora 24 Linux operating system, which has also seen three delays until now and it looks like it should finally land in mid-June with Linux kernel 4.5, GNOME 3.20, as well as numerous up-to-date core components and applications.
"At the second Fedora 24 Beta Go/No-Go Meeting that just ended, has been agreed by QA, Release Engineering and Development representatives to go live with the Fedora 24 Beta. Fedora 24 Beta will be publicly available on May 10, 2016. The official release time is 14:00 UTC," said Jan Kurik, Fedora program manager, in the announcement.
Fedora 24 Linux to hit the streets on June 14, 2016
As mentioned before, the final release of the Fedora 24 Linux operating system has been delayed as well by a week, and the official release schedule confirms the launch date as being June 14, 2016. In the meantime, it appears that the Fedora Project devs are already planning on the next major release of the operating system sponsored by the Red Hat giant, Fedora 25, which already has a draft release schedule published on the Fedora Wiki, suggesting a final release date as November 8, 2016. Fedora 25 Linux should sport the upcoming Linux kernel 4.6 and GNOME 3.22 technologies.
