Windows phone users again left behind unfortunately

Bethesda has finally launched Fallout Shelter, the super-popular game that has millions of players on Android and iOS, on Windows 10 and Xbox, but unfortunately, the company decided to leave Windows phone users behind and not make the title compatible with the platform.

While the decision not to support Windows Phone isn’t at all surprising given the reasons that everyone already knows (such as declining market share, dropping interest from devs and even Microsoft), Fallout Shelter arrives in the Windows 10 Store with all the features that are already available on rival platforms like iOS and Android.

Leaving the sad news aside, the launch of Fallout Shelter on Windows 10 and Xbox includes support for Xbox Play Anywhere, so you can carry over your progress between platforms, being able to resume from where you left off on another device.

Game features

Fallout Shelter for Windows 10 comes with the same feature as on Android and iOS, and includes the exact same gameplay options, so you can build the vault, customize the look of your dwellers, improve their skills, and discover items such as armor and weapons, and gain experience points.

“Fallout Shelter puts you in control of a state-of-the-art underground Vault from Vault-Tec. Build the perfect Vault, keep your Dwellers happy, and protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland,” the game description published in the Windows 10 Store reads.

What’s also very important to note is that the game is available with a free license, but it does contain in-app purchases.

And not all computers can run the game, so check out the minimum system requirements to make sure your system has what it takes to provide a decent gameplay experience. 1GB RAM, at least Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550 @2.83GHZ and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1Ghz, Radeon HD 6970 1GHz graphics are needed.

The game is exclusively aimed at x64 systems, so you won’t be able to play it on computers powered by Windows 10 32-bit versions.
