Android gamers rejoice, as Bethesda's Fallout Shelter smash hit has just arrived on their favorite platform. Initially launched on iOS back in June, the game has finally been ported to Android after two months, and is now available for download via Google Play Store.

The first mobile game ever released by Bethesda, Fallout Shelter is also the most popular iOS game available in App Store.

The Android version of the game includes all-new updates, such as the addition of Mr. Handy, the ultimate robotic companion, as a premium reward.

This particular update was not available for iOS players until today, but Bethesda previously announced that it would be released along with the Android version of the game.

If your platform of choice is iOS, then you should now look for a Fallout Shelter update in App Store since the Android version of the game has already been published in Google Play Store.

An addictive post-nuclear strategy game

For those who’ve never heard about Fallout Shelter, Bethesda's title is a post-nuclear strategy and simulation experience that allows players to control an underground Vault where they must nurture their Dwellers population.

Your task will be to build the perfect Vault from a wide range of rooms, as well as oversee the thriving community of Vault Dwellers, but also protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland.

You can now download Fallout Shelter for Android for free via Google Play store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.

Keep in mind that, while the game is available for free, it comes with in-app purchases, so if you don't want to pay real money, then you should disable this feature.

For iOS users, the game can be downloaded for free as well via App Store. It should run smoothly on all devices powered by iOS 7.0 or later.
