Video game developer and publisher Bethesda has announced that it is working on a massive new Fallout Anthology, which will integrate all the core titles in the series and is currently set to be launched on the PC on September 29 in North America and on October 2 in Europe.

The package will include Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 3, Fallout Tactics, and the classic Fallout 2 and 1.

Pete Hines has confirmed that a limited number of copies will be created and encourages gamers to pre-order.

The most interesting aspect of the new Fallout Anthology is that all the titles will be delivered inside a very cool Fat-Man mini-nuke case that every fan would love to have.

Bethesda is also saying that a slot inside the package will be open so that gamers can insert their Fallout 4 disk when they get it later in the year.

For Fallout 3, the Game of the Year Edition is included, which introduces a wide range of downloadable content, while for New Vegas, gamers will also have access to extra DLC that expands the core experience.

It's unclear whether the versions of Fallout 1 and 2 offered will be the ones on GOG, which have been tweaked in order to run smoothly on modern computers.

The launch of the Fallout Anthology is clearly timed to give fans a chance to play the older titles before the most recent one in the franchise is introduced.

Fallout 4 will significantly expand core open world mechanics

Bethesda is taking action to Boston and the area around it and will deliver a better game engine that supports enhanced combat and dialogue, with a fully voiced main character.

The biggest change to the traditional formula of the most recent two titles in the series is that gamers can collect materials from the world in order to create their own buildings and settlements, which will then attract inhabitants that can create local economies.

Gamers will have to set up trade and defend their small towns even as they pursue the main quest.

The game will also include an extensive crafting system, with more than 700 versions for the 50 core weapons and options to make the Power Suit that gamers can use even more powerful.

Fallout 4 will be offered on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on November 10 of this year.
