Bethesda launched a new patch for Fallout 4, and it looks like it's the biggest one so far. It fixes many problems, some really important that broke certain quests, and it adds quite a few new graphical features.

Fallout 4 is a massive game and with a fairly large open world. Even if it's not the biggest one out there, it's very complex, which means that a lot of stuff can go wrong. Some of the patches that have been released by Bethesda for Fallout 4 have been rather disappointing, but they are now finally bringing some stuff that's worth mentioning.

Many of the new features that have been added with the 1.3 update are available only for the PC users. Stuff like ambient occlusion or weapon debris effects are only going to be enjoyed by the PC players, which means that the console users will have to be content with everything else that doesn't affect framerate.

PC gets the best deal

Since the PC version of Fallout is the only one that can really be enhanced after the launch, many of the features are only available for the PC users.

According to the changelog that has been posted on Steam, the HBAO+ ambient occlusion setting has been added, and weapon debris effects have been implemented (only for PC NVIDIA cards). Also, the status menu for settlers in your settlements has been added, the ability to rotate an object you are holding with left/right triggers and pressing down on left thumbstick lets you switch the rotating axis has been added, and the "ESDF" keys remapping support has been added while in Workshop mode.

It's also worth noting that there are quite a few quest-related fixes, so you will need to check the full list below to see if it covers any of your problems. As usual, all you have to do is to start Steam and let the updating process do its job.
