Easier notification browsing will be added too

It looks like Facebook is slowly rolling out a feature that should have been available to Android users for quite some time. The ability to upload videos in HD has been included in the iOS version of Facebook more than 2 years ago, but Android users, for some reason, have been skipped from the initial rollout.

However, the fine folks over at Android Police have discovered that the feature has already been implemented and it is now making its way to more Android users across the globe.

Facebook has added a new “Upload videos in HD” toggle below the option to upload photos in HD, a feature that's been available for a long time to Android users.

But that's not the only major feature that Android users will be able to take advantage of in the coming weeks. It appears that Facebook plans to add picture-in-picture video feature, but you won't be able to use it unless you enable the “draw over other apps” permission to Facebook.

It's the same permission that Facebook's other social network app, Messenger, requires for Chat Heads in case you want to see conversations over other apps on your phones.

Download Facebook videos for offline viewing

Following Netflix's announcement informing users that offline download is available for its movies, Facebook plans to introduce a new option for Android users that will allow them to download videos for later offline viewing.

This feature is not yet available to everyone, as Facebook is now testing it with select Android users. We believe it will make it to the general public in the coming weeks as well.

Furthermore, Facebook will add a new option that will enable users to select what resolution they want to use when watching a video. For the time being, the HD toggle is selected by default, but you will be able to use other resolutions as well (360p, 480p, etc.)

Last but not least, a future update will add a new change that will make it easier for users to browse through notifications. Two arrows will be added to an individual notification's view, so users can browse through multiple notifications easily.
