F1 2015, the Formula One simulation from Codemasters, is sitting at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart at the moment, managing to take the position during its first week on sale and generating a solid increase in overall sales when compared to the previous installment in the series.

Gamers are clearly eager to take part in the races and control the cars of their favorite teams, even as the real-world season is proving to be a little disappointing for most fans.

Codemasters has said that it will deliver updates for F1 2015 in order to make sure that no problems the community signals in the coming days affect the experience in the long term.

Batman: Arkham Knight, a game that does not yet have a working version on the PC, has slipped from the top to second place, continuing to deliver a solid performance even as the teams at Rocksteady and Warner Bros. are getting ready to launch the new Batgirl-themed downloadable content pack.

Third position for the week that ended on July 11 is occupied by LEGO Jurassic World, according to data from UKIE, which is continuing to benefit from the huge popularity of the movie it is associated with.

Gamers can use the game to explore all the four core installments in the series, and all the levels can be explored using a variety of dinosaurs.

The best of the rest

The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMO from ZeniMax Online and Bethesda, is in fourth place, showing that the launch for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 has been solid for the title.

Grand Theft Auto V, the open world experience from Rockstar, stays glued to fifth as gamers are now able to experience the new Ill-Gotten Gains update for the Online mode.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, another open world experience created this time by CD Projekt RED, is in sixth, and gamers are constantly getting access to new DLC and to more updates.

The Xbox One version of the indie hit Minecraft is in seventh place and is followed by the PlayStation port in eighth.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare stays in ninth, and Destiny has managed to jump up one position to close down the United Kingdom top ten.
