A high-end Galaxy smartphone will pack the new setup

We already know that Samsung won't include a dual-camera setup on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, but that doesn't mean the South Korean company won't adopt the new technology like so many other handset makers did in the last year or so.

A new ad that's meant to highlight some of the features offered by the newly announced Exynos 9 series reveals that Samsung may soon adopt the dual-camera setup for its smartphones.

The promo says that customers can now take great pictures because the Exynos 8895 chipset features dual ISP support for dual camera. Also, an unannounced Galaxy smartphone with dual-camera setup on the back is shown in an image as well.

However, the phone in question doesn't look like the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ since it lacks the rear-mounted fingerprint reader that we know about. Since the upcoming flagships won't pack the new technology, Samsung is likely to include it in future products.

It could be the Galaxy Note 8 or a completely different smartphone that will be introduced after the Galaxy S8 makes it to the market.

A third Galaxy S8 version with dual-camera setup is highly unlikely

Still, it's worth noting that the Exynos 8895 processor has been confirmed to power the Galaxy S8, but it's possible that the chip will be included in other Samsung smartphones as well.

Since the Exynos 9 series is aimed at high-end devices, the dual-camera setup that Samsung mentions in the ad will certainly be included in a flagship smartphone.

Although the possibility of a third Galaxy S8 version that would pack a dual-camera setup might have its fans, we think it's a bit far-fetched and unlikely to happen.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will be officially revealed on March 29. Even though it's been initially slated for an April 21 release, the flagship won't hit the shelves until one week later, on April 28.
