14 DAY TRIAL // The GNOME Project is preparing to unleash the first point release of the GNOME 3.20 desktop environment, version 3.20.1, which should see the light of day sometime around the date of April 13, 2016.
We're usually monitoring the GNOME channels for any updates on the project, and we can't help but notice that the Evolution email, calendar, and groupware suite has been updated ahead of the upcoming GNOME 3.20.1 release, along with many other core applications and components.
Evolution 3.20.1 has caught our attention because it brings important bug fixes and improvements, among which we can mention support for filling lists of certificates asynchronously, better support for the GTK+ 3.20 GUI toolkit, and improved support for Google accounts with the calendar component.
There are also the usual EHTMLEditorView and EHTMLEditorSelection improvements, the table header is now correctly resized after changing the theme's font, the mouse cursor is no longer grabbed while left-clicking in the message list, and it is now possible to change the order list to unordered.
Better GMail support, updated translations
Evolution 3.20.1 also offers better GMail support by adding the ability to display inline images in drafts, the table header text can now be vertically centered, some of the settings changes for the mail composer can now be made permanent, and various other small issues reported by users since Evolution 3.20 were addressed.
Below we've attached the internal changelog for more details on the changes implemented in this stable released of Evolution. Lastly, the Slovak, English (UK), Portuguese, Occitan, Italian, Chinese, and Basque language translations have been updated.
