Entroware, the UK-based hardware manufacturer known for delivering high-quality, Linux-based desktops, laptops, and servers solutions powered by Ubuntu, informs us about a new laptop model called "Zeus."

Designed to be an ultra portable mobile workstation or gaming machine that's 18.6mm thin and weights only 1.9 Kg, Entroware Zeus uses the Nvidia's latest MAX-Q design-philosophy. It packs a sleek, premium quality aluminum chassis that's light and durable.

"With Intel’s latest 7th Generation processors, up to 32GB of super fast DDR4 memory, and PCIe/NVME storage options, your Zeus can be configured for even the most demanding of requirements when on the move," said Entroware in the press announcement.

Under the hood, Entroware Zeus boasts an incredible amount of computing power, as you can see from the technical specifications listed below, and it can be configured with built-in LTE networking support so you won't have to reply only on Wi-Fi hotspots anymore.

Powered by an Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor running at up to 3.8GHz with 4 cores and 8 threads, Entroware Zeus comes with 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz RAM by default, but offers customers the possibility of adding up to 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM.

The gorgeous 15.6-inch Matte LED IPS display offers a Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution, and Entroware Zeus sports a 120GB SSD M.2 storage by default, though you can add as much as 6TB of SSD storage if you want to install all your game collection.

Linux gamers will be pleased to learn that the powerful laptop ships with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 MAX-Q 8GB graphics card that should support all their favorite games. In addition, Entroware Zeus features a multi-color backlit keyboard with UK and International options, as well as an Ubuntu, Ubuntu MATE or Entroware logo.

UK or European power lead is provided, and Entroware Zeus comes with Intel AC wireless, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth support. As for the pre-installed OS, users can choose between Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus), Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus), as well as Ubuntu MATE 17.04 or Ubuntu MATE 16.04.3 LTS.

Connectivity wise, the laptop offers a 6-in-1 card reader supporting SD, mini SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, and RSMMC memory cards, 3 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 3.1 (Type C) ports, a HDMI port, two Mini DisplayPort ports, as well as headphone and microphone jacks. A 1080p Full HD webcam is present as well, along with an internal mic.
