Internet users are now able to search through the entire dataset leaked from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca via the offshoreleaks.icij.org website hosted by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

ICIJ launched the website yesterday in order to allow other journalists and independent investigators to track down people that did business with Mossack Fonseca and used its services to set up offshore companies.

According to ICIJ, the database contains information on almost 320,000 offshore entities that are part of the Panama Papers and the Offshore Leaks investigations.

The Panama Papers scandal came to light last April when German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung together with ICIJ published a summary of their investigation into the activities of Mossack Fonseca after receiving a data dump of around 2.6TB.

The data covered nearly 40 years of the law firm's activity, up to the end of 2015, investigators claimed with contained data on important people and companies from more than 200 countries.

The online database allows users to search for both individuals and companies and get neatly organized results. The website lists all the details available about each person, its connections to known offshore organizations, along with information on that shell corporation, current jurisdiction, incorporation details, and the searched person's role.

The database also includes a search filter that allows users to narrow down results for a specific country.
