14 DAY TRIAL // The developers of the open-source and lightweight Enlightenment desktop environment have announced the release and immediate availability for download of Enlightenment DR 0.9.11.
Looking at the release notes, which we've attached at the end of the article for reference, it would appear that there are 33 changes in the eleventh maintenance release of the Enlightenment 0.19 desktop environment.
Among the most interesting improvements, we can mention a fix for a crash that occurred in the desktop lookup and fixup functionality, fixes for two issues with the deskmirror functionality, and a fix for an issue with the file manager.
Notification mirror objects are now deleted during the deletion of the original pop-up, an ilist method is now added for setting the disabled state, unused variables have been removed from the ilist widget, and the FLOAT_SET variable is now sent to edje messages during the desk flip operation.
Furthermore, the eeze watch has been added for backlight events, alpha is now always set for internal windows, the E_Client->want/take_focus flags are now being unset during client evaluation, and the client hidden flags are now being unset on the configuration dialogs during the activation of a different virtual desktop.

In addition to the changes mentioned above, Enlightenment 0.19.11 brings many other under-the-hood improvements, such as support for panoramic wallpapers in the bgpreview widget, support for decoding .desktop links and folder URIs in the fileman menus, as well as the removal of backlight update calls from the backlight module.
Among other improvements, we can mention support for applying vertical maximize algorithm for both RIGHT and LEFT maximized windows, better creation of exe_inst clients, better notifier watcher in systray, and athe ddition of EFL versioning support for backlight monitoring.
